I finally managed to score myself a Nikon D300 and various toys for it. I've been driving motorcoaches for a tourist company in Alaska and get to see some of the most breathtaking scenery you'd ever seen.
Unfortunately I'm not allowed to stop and take pictures of said scenery. Instead I'm stuck stopping at the same dozen or so locations that I've already taken pictures of. I do get some time off in these locations depending on the tour I'm on that week so we'll see. Hopefully I get something.
I'm no good at finding wildlife but I'm hoping to pick up (this fall) Nikkon's 80-400mm VR monster as well as a portrait friendly 50mm f/1.4 or f/1.8 lens. I wish I would have had one before because I recently did the photos for a friend's wedding.
Thank God for the SB-800.

I made the pictures(Morning in teh city)!
Now it's OK?
(I like them, and thanx!)
